As part of on-going commitment to reducing the impact of electrical products on the environment, and in-line with our ISO14001 framework,we are pleased to announce the launch of the first of it's kind ‘Free Fan Recycling Scheme’.

Helping local authorities, developers and contractors meet their waste reduction targets and minimise the amount of landfill from construction sites, the free fan recycling scheme is open to all refurbishment projects where there is a sole specification of Greenwood product. Easy to manage, a container is delivered to site or a convinient location for the client or installer, and then every fan removed from the housing stock, whether a Greenwood fan or not, is placed in the container. Once full, simply call for collection and the container is emptied or removed from site.

Taking full responsibility for ventilation products from cradle into grave and beyond, this unique recycling scheme sees discarded products dismantled and reworked into a variety of items such as motor parts, paints and plant pots.

Michelle Sharp, Marketing Communications Manager at Greenwood Air Management comments “With the construction industry responsible for around one third of the UK’s landfill we were very keen to minimise our contribution.  Even though we are not currently covered by the WEEE directive, providing this simple, free of charge service to our customers we can help ensure the beauty of our countryside for future generations whilst also supporting sustainable manufacturing”.
