We joined the woolly revolution and raised money for Save the Children

Christmas Jumper Day 2013

On Friday 13th December we indulged in some festive fun and wore our Christmas jumpers to work to raise money for charity.

Fun was had by all at Greenwood on Friday 13th December as we held Christmas Jumper Day and raised nearly £200 for Save the Children. With donations from all who donned jumpers, and a bake sale of delicious savouries and sweets, we also crowned 'Best Christmas Jumper' and 'Best Home-Made Christmas Jumper' to employees with the finest festive attire!

Save the Children operates around the world in 120 countries and helps to save children's lives, fights for their lives and helps them reach their full potential. A donation of just £1.00 can make all the difference and pays for nine sachets of oral rehydration treatment for children in poverty stricken countries across the world.

The money that we raised on our Greenwood Christmas Jumper Day will go towards the training of two midwives to help ensure babies are delivered safely in the poorest parts of the world.
